My WordPress Journey: From Community to 360 Market View

Fotis Pastrakis and Stathopoulos working together in WordCamp 2019

Before AI tools transformed digital workflows, my story began with something timeless—community. In 2018, I attended my first WordPress meetup in Thessaloniki. What started as curiosity quickly became commitment: I joined the organizing team and helped grow a vibrant local ecosystem.

In 2019, a broken leg changed everything. With time on my hands, I began translating WordPress plugins and themes into Greek. That experience taught me the importance of accessibility and localization—two principles that still guide my UX writing and content strategy today.

When COVID hit in 2021, I became a speaker at WordCamp Greece Online, ensuring the WordPress community stayed connected. Around the same time, I deepened my technical expertise—contributing code to WordPress core and mastering themes and plugins. This blend of development and communication gave me a holistic perspective on how design, technology, and user experience intersect.

By 2022 and 2023, my role expanded globally. I volunteered at WordCamp Europe in Porto and then joined the organizing team for WordCamp Europe Athens, supporting design and communication teams to deliver clear, inclusive messaging for thousands of attendees.

Today, I bring these experiences together as a 360° market-view professional. I understand ecosystems, user behavior, and the power of human-centered design. Whether you need UX writing, WordPress consulting, or content strategy, my goal is simple: create digital experiences that feel intuitive and meaningful—even in the age of AI.
